About Madi

Growing up with a younger sister, I like to believe that I received a gift; a few extra years of playing with dolls, imaginary pirate ship quests on our playscape, and a deep-seated appreciation for my childhood. When I was old enough, I spent my summers babysitting my three younger cousins and family friends. If you ask any of the kids I babysat, I'm sure they would tell you about the scavenger hunt I created or the "shows" we acted out. I always display a level of respect towards the children I watch, making them aware that I enjoy spending time with them, while also prioritizing their safety and well being above all else. For many years I debated being a teacher, and through Gettysburg College, I was afforded the opportunity to take courses in education. Most memorably, I was able to teach for an after-school program in the local elementary school. This helped me to hone in on my caretaking skills, the ability to give directions, and further my experience with kids outside the home.
