Hello! My name is Maddie! I'm originally from Rochester, Minnesota, but I moved to Colorado to obtain my master's and doctorate degrees. I hope to become an anesthesiologist just like my mom! My mother is currently a practicing anesthesiologist at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, and my father was a 6th-grade science teacher for 30+ years until he was diagnosed with a rare form of Stage 4 cancer in 2016. My parents are middle school sweethearts, and I am incredibly close with them. My parents have influenced my love for teaching, kids, and academia. I graduated from college in 2019 with a degree in Biology (with/ a Pre-med concentration) and an English minor. I worked as a certified nursing assistant on a medical/surgical floor and in a nursing home before I moved to Colorado. I am in my 2nd year of medical school, living in the Meridian/Lone Tree area.
