About Madeline

Maddie was such an amazing and beneficial addition to our lives! She left such a positive impact on our family as a whole. She was extremely reliable, dedicated, professional, and always exceeded our expectations. We initially hired Maddie as a tutor for our middle-school aged son when his grades were in the dumpster and there was only 2.5 months left to salvage the damage. In those short few months Maddie was able to connect with my son in order to restore the focus and self-confidence he needed to shine in school! Before working with Maddie, his homework completion was embarrassing low, which meant his confidence and ability to understand the material was so far behind where it should be. Schoolwork/homework was a miserable experience for all of us and studying for him felt like hopeless drowning-- like there was "no point" anymore. After the first week working with Maddie, his homework was always completed on-time, and he seemed more organized and prepared for each school day. Immediately his test/exam scores went from F's as low as 20%, to A's and B's ranging between 80%-90% and even a couple 100% scores on quizzes. In only those short 2.5 months working with Maddie, he was able to end the school year with all A's, B's, and C's on his final report card. Im certain if we had just a tiny bit more time to catch up, it would have been all A's and B's. Tutoring aside, Maddie was incredible with all of my children (12, 10, and 7 year old twins). My children loved her, and coouldnt wait for her to walk in the door every day. My twins especially could never seem to leave her alone and wanted to hog all of her attention. Despite the constant noise, distractions, and fights for her attention, she was able to brilliantly multitask. She was able to still stay lazer-focused and dedicated to my son's tutoring while simultaneously having my younger children sitting in her lap, listening to their stories, answering their countless questions, drawing with them, reading to them, going over their own homework with them.... She remained calm, cool, and collected, and never once appeared to be overwhelmed or even phased by the chaos. As soon as all school related tasks were completed she always had time and willingness to play some basketball, or just spend some quality time with all of the kids. She made them all feel special and important. Maddie has moved on to an exciting new chapter in her life and we are all so happy for her. We just wish we could have held on to her for longer. She certainly set the bar very high, making it so difficult to find a suitable new tutor for the coming school year (though Maddie was so much more than "tutor" to us!)
