About Madeleine

Hi, I'm Maddie! I recently moved to South Florida, after falling it love with it on work trips. Formerly, I worked as a planner and coordinator for weddings/events and managed our retail sister store. I've volunteered with Best Buddies for 13+ years, as well as Reading is Fundamental and Special Olympics. I'd describe myself as empathetic, cheerful, and kind. I started working with kids when I was a kid! I went on to serve at an orphanage in Jamaica in high school, and in college, nannied! My top 3 child care skills are... COMMUNICATION Communicating effectively and at a level in which they can understand, while maintaining an appropriate level of authority. Listening to the child(ren) and their needs. PROBLEM SOLVING Finding creative ways to incorporate learning, age-appropriate play and responsibilities (if applicable) and resolve conflict, when necessary. COMPASSION Leading with compassion to care for your loved one(s) and creating a safe, welcoming space.
