About Madeleine

I'd describe myself to be outgoing, go-with-the-flow, and compassionate. Working with kids is important to me because, as adults, it is our responsibility to create a safe and loving environment for children. I believe in the Village and that it is up to all of us to help raise and support families and children to succeed for the future. I started working with kids when I was 12 as a babysitter, and got my first job as a teacher when I was 16 at Sunday School. Since then I have had many teaching jobs, and received my bachelors degree in psychology and early childhood education. In my spare time, I like to go camping and be active. One thing you should know about me is that because of my background in psychology, I am hyper-aware of the development side of childcare. It is important to me that children are given environments to thrive and I love providing that for them with creative developmental solutions.
