About Madeja

My name is Madeja. I've worked with children in and out of the classroom since 2015. I started off as a City Year Americorps member. I served 2 years as a teacher's assistant in a 5th grade classroom. I spent 3 years also working and managing after school programs for Pre-K through high school students. I have had multiple families I've worked with doing private childcare over the years. Prior to covid, I worked in a daycare for 3 years and worked with two families during those 3 years as well. Both families have 2 children. 2 years apart. When I started, both sets were newborn and 2 years old. During the height of COVID I was a full time nanny. Once for two 2-year-old girls, a nanny share. One mother went on maternity leave so my services were no longer needed. The other for two boys, 7 & 3 during the summer. When they went back to school, I went back to the nonprofit world all while nannying on the side. I recently relocated back to NYC to be close to my family and friends.
