Hello! I'm a patient, understanding, and positive college student who has a strong passion for working with people with special needs. I'm currently going to school for Social Work and it's my goal to work with those specifically with Down Syndrome/ intellectual disabilities. I do have experience, as I have been working as a DSP for a year in group homes with individuals with intellectual & physical disabilities. I also grew up in a household where my family fostered children and teenagers. I have a very open schedule because I need to make money for college! But I wanted to be making money doing something I love and that's always been taking care of people. With me, I always want the individual I care for to know that they are safe and make it a comfortable environment for them to just be themselves. Not only do I want them to be comfortable around me, but I want to have fun as well! As your sitter, I will be sure to make it a fun, supervised, and safe environment for your loved one.
