About Mackena

Hi! My name is Mackena and I am a 19-year-old, Nursing Major at WSU. I am a nanny who's passionate about nurturing young minds and creating a safe environment where children can thrive. With six years of experience, as well as experience in foster care and special needs, I'm well-equipped to cater to the needs of children aged, infants to preteens. I feel I am able to connect easily with children and build trusting relationships with them. I believe in clear and consistent communication with parents throughout the time of care. I am all for enforcing household rules while maintaining a positive and nurturing atmosphere. I enjoy engaging children in a variety of activities that cater to their physical, emotional, and intellectual development. I am not a huge advocate for screen time :) I enjoy playing outdoor games, educational games and doing puzzles. I have a reliable car, and am comfortable with caring for up to 6 children at a time.
