About Mabel

I'm 36 years old and I'm the mother of a 4 years old non-verbal autistic boy. Being myself a mother of an atypical child, I know the challenge of finding someone to take care of your child and trusting that person. I knew other families with children with disabilities and developmental delays have similar experiences and I knew I could be that trusty worthy person being able to provide nanny/babysitter services. I'm originally from Brazil and have been living in Boston for around nine years, and I speak both English and Portuguese. I also have a certificate in Caregiver Skills Training for Families of Children with Developmental Delays or Disabilities which provided me skills to help the child communicate more often, getting and keeping children engaged in everyday activities, teaching new skills like dressing and hand washing in small steps, preventing challenging behaviors and understanding those behaviors, etc. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime.
