Lyn was the perfect one-to-one caregiver for my dad! God brought Lyn to my home during a very scary time when my dad fell ill with brain cancer. My dad’s cognition and behaviors were very challenging to deal with in the beginning. But Lyn quickly learned how to help my dad, from learning how to eat again, walk with more strength and stability, shower on his own again, cook again…she basically got my dad back to his baseline level before he had the brain cancer! What a miracle! Lyn knew when to encourage my dad to get up and walk around, and she also knew when to encourage my dad to rest. She was very attentive to notice small things, small differences, that made a huge impact on knowing how I could help my dad more when needed! Lyn became like family to us! She was always very kind and patient with my dad. I never had to worry about my dad when Lyn was around. Lyn was also an amazing cook, and learned how to cook to my dad’s preferences. Lyn went above and beyond her call of duty! While Lyn’s experience and expertise was very impressive, it was her level of compassion that was genuine and unmatched. I’ve met many caretakers and Lyn by far, without question, has been the best caregiver! It was bittersweet to let Lyn go! But Lyn was able to help my dad recover so well, that she gladly did so, even if it meant we’d have to bid her farewell. I would re-hire Lyn again in a heartbeat! Treat Lyn well! She’s an angel!
