I am a mature gal who has spent my life caring for people, from mom of special needs children, to each of my elderly family members as they have faced the various challenges that come with aging. I cared for my mom and mother-in-law as they battled cancer, my father as he struggled with respiratory issues, and my aunt, who after 5 years of nearly full-time care, eventually succumbed to alzheimer's. Caring for people is not only a job that I am capable and willing to do, it is a calling. I feel honored to provide care and companionship to those in need, to give them the love and support they deserve, and to provide nurturing in which family members are assured that their loved one is just that ~ loved, kept safe, watched over, and walked tenderly through what can be an otherwise scary time of life. Lyn has been helpful to me in so many ways. She has been quick to realize my difficulties in daily life and has offered many solutions. We brainstorm together when decisions need to be made. She is often aware of what presents a problem for me before I have recognized it. She has been attentive to my physical needs and to my emotional needs. Lyn encourages me to do what I am able to do and supports me when I am not able. We confer when scheduling issues need adjustment. I can't now imagine daily life without her.
