About Lyd

I'm a responsible, warm and patient sitter with a passion for education and creativity. I currently work as a substitute teacher for Chicago Public Schools with a flexible schedule, usually finishing around 3:30 p.m. I'm pursuing school in June to get my Master's in Special Education but will have availability through the summer. I have my own vehicle and am happy to provide school or activity transport. I enjoy being outdoors whether it's kicking around a soccer ball after school or heading to a nearby park after school. I'm also happy doing crafts, reading, playing board games or whatever else you know will keep your child engaged! My background includes a wide range of experiences, from tutoring boys ages 8-13, providing after school pickup to a great 5th grader, and babysitting during summer breaks and date night evenings! I'm comfortable with kids ages 2-15 and can help prepare snacks and/or meals, do basic housework and cleaning, or walking any furry friends you have.
