About Lydia

As a natural-born caregiver, I've dedicated years to nurturing the growth and development of children in MI, NY, CA, and Peru. I've worked under standard, Reggio Emilia, and RIE methodologies, and with ages 6 weeks to 14 years old. I solidified my role in childcare in college while completing my degree in the Arts & Humanities (with a Double Minor in Educational Studies and Cognitive Science). I also earned my TESOL license during this time, teaching English in Peru while conducting research on music integration in the bilingual classroom. After graduating, I moved to NYC, where I specialized in infant & toddler care. Soon thereafter, I moved to LA and nannied with a wonderful family. Last year, I managed a children's therapy (PT/ST/OT) clinic, and adored working with those families. I am excited to re-enter a caretaking role, now with even stronger communication and organizational skills. I am a creative, compassionate soul and can't wait to meet more amazing families!
