About Lydia

I'd describe my personality as kind, dependable, pleasant, positive, and engaging. I enjoy caring for children and seniors. I have a degree in Social Work and care about all people. I have always been drawn to seniors and youngsters~ or any group who is vulnerable. I'm looking for a job that has evening or overnight hours, to be there in the home, if their care-giver needs help with their care. I started caring for seniors when I was a teenager. I cared for my Grandmother who had a stroke. She was bedridden and stayed in our home. I slept in the same room with her and cared for her needs during the night, as well as, bathed, fed, and dressed her. I also have a Mother who has Dementia for the past 8 years. Although my Dad is still her primary caregiver, I have cared for her on many occasions over the past 8 years. In my spare time, I like to play sports, go to the beach, read, watch movies or spend time with our huge blended family of 7 children.
