About Luz

Luz began caring for my disabled mother and occasionally my then 7 year old daughter from February 2022 through February 2023. We arranged for rolling 48-hour care over the weekend, which was perfect for my work/life schedule. The responsibilities included: companionship, meal preparation, shower, wash/dry/fold clothes, and light household cleaning. At times, she prepared a variation of tasty Mexican style food, which my Mom enjoyed. Luz is very personable, thoughtful, and easy-going. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. She would problem solve and communicate whenever she noticed changes or challenges. Always with Moms safety in mind. She helped me create a flow to properly manage and meet care goals. Mom became ill and passed away in March 2023. It meant a lot to my family that Luz was able to attend funeral services. I have referred Luz to friends who have worked with her as well. It's been a true pleasure and blessing to have met Luz.
