About Lux

I started working with kids at a young age, taking classes and receiving certifications in babysitting at 12 years old. I spent years caring for family members and neighbors, and by high school, my passion for youth development lead me to pursue work as a teaching assistant and volunteer with youth arts and community organizations. I'm a first-year at Marymount Manhattan College pursuing a BFA in acting and minors in arts management and music. Along with childcare, one of my greatest passions is the performing arts. In my free time, I love songwriting, attending plays and concerts, and taking in the unique experiences NYC has to offer. I deeply value connecting to every child I work with and emphasize emotional engagement in my role. One of my favorite things about working with kids is being present through such developmental periods, and the responsibility that comes with that to help them navigate this growth and learn how to exist in the world as strong, smart, secure individuals.
