I have had at least 10 years of experience watching large groups of children. In 1999, my senior year of high school, I was appointed Group Leader in the after school program at Pioneer Elementary school in Parker, CO. I was in charge of a group of 6-10 children. I guided them in activities, helped them with homework and snacks and was responsible for outside supervision. During my college years in California I worked at Color Me Mine which is a "paint your own pottery" establishment. I was promoted to a manager position and would often work birthday parties. In these cases I would help the children pick out paint and assist with techniques. Sometimes families would bring in cake and such so I would have to clean up the art projects and quickly set up for the food. I loved these gigs! I am totally willing and able to assist at parties or sit for a large group of children while adults have a get together. In the summers of 2003 and 2004, I was a camp counselor at Camp Neumann in Jamison, PA. In 2003 the girls that I was in charge of were ages 11-13 and in 2004 they were 12-14. As a counselor I was responsible for getting them to breakfast and all meals on time, taking them to all activities during the day, dealing with emotional difficulties that arose, and doing overnight care. Finally, often I opt to watch more than one families children at once. I have no problem watching 4-6 children at a time. I just started sitting for a family who is finishing a house in Breckenridge. I watch the 11 month year old boy, a 3-year-old boy, 2 girls that are 6, and 2 older kids that are 11. It is actually really fun and we all liked each other right away. If you are need help with a large group of children often the sitting rate is lower and it is a lot of fun for the kids to play together and I enjoy large groups as well. If you have any further questions, I would be happy to answer them for you. Thank you, Sarah
