About Luke

I grew up in a blended family with 8 younger siblings. I am no stranger to the complexities of family life and I feel great compassion towards families who live in what some would call "not ideal" circumstances. I love having fun and I think playing and laughing were integral parts of my experience growing up in a large family. Currently, I am studying Family Science at BYU and I was one of 4 people to get an A in this semester's "Parenting" class. I have no professional experience in child care, although I worked for almost 2 years in a residential treatment center (2nd year as a Campus Supervisor) providing hands-on care and treatment to adolescents with mental disabilities in a clinically sophisticated setting. I love playing soccer, drawing, playing music, and learning at school. I'm looking to work full time and be a force of good in a family's life.
