To Whom it May Concern, I am writing in support of Maria I have been the direct supervisor of Luisa for several years. She has been a para-educator in my special education Kindergarten through second grade classroom. I have found Luisa to be an active and conscientious worker. At first, whenever I asked her to do some task, she always did it willingly, but I soon found that I didn't need to ask her to do anything. As soon as she notices something that needs to be done, she does it. She always does more work than the other para-educators in my classroom, but this does not cause her any concern and she just continues to cheerfully and effectively carry out her responsibilities. When there is anything extra that I want her to do, I can ask her to do it without having to worry that she will be offended or annoyed. When I realized that Luisa has an excellent memory, I also began to ask her to help me take care of the many administrative details of running our classroom. Because the children in my classroom are so young, they are assessed through teacher observation. I try to keep detailed notes of each child s behavior and skill level, but I am not able to notice and record everything. So I often ask Luisa for help, and I have found her extensive memory to be very useful in completing these assessments. Luisa is also an excellent problem solver. I am constantly trying to find more effective ways to teach the children in my classroom with all of their special needs and different abilities. So, I often ask Luisa for her opinion. She has used her long experience as a teacher and a para-educator in America and her problem solving abilities to help me solve several difficult problems. Together she and I have found ways to encourage some of our most difficult children to learn and follow classroom rules. Luisa is professional, friendly, enthusiastic, patient, and very kind to the children and to me. I really appreciate the politeness and kindness that she brings to all her relationships in the work environment. She would be an excellent employee for any company or school. I highly recommend Luisa. Please feel free to call me for more information. I will not be teaching summer school, but you can reach me during the summer at home.
