I live in Southwest DC and bring over 8 years of childcare experience prioritizing families' safety, happiness, and creative expression; as a nanny (ages 0-12), swim instructor (ages 5-9), and assistant teacher (ages 0-2 & 3-5). I also have 6 years of experience as an EMT and firefighter (certifications lapsed in 2024 due to pursuing a different career), with competency in infant/child BLS and CPR. I enjoy creating fun and enriching experiences for children, whether through outdoor adventures or imaginative play at home. I love to cook, and am very comfortable around pets. I currently manage foreign security assistance funding at a nonprofit and am a full-time, in-person master's student. Due to my work and recent executive orders, I have been furloughed until at least April 2025. In the meantime, I am seeking temporary work during standard business hours (9-5). We are so glad we found Lucy! We wish our time with her was longer. She was easy to work with and took great care of our 3 year old. She was attentive and engaging, our daughter looked forward to spending time with her. I would definitely recommend Lucy for childcare. She is competent and reliable.
