Hi there! I'm new to Care. com! I've been working as an ESL teacher for the past year while pursuing my graduate degree in speech-language pathology. My passion for helping people develop their speech and find their voice blossomed through my work with autistic patients and teaching children. I'm considering adding a pediatric focus toward my masters and would like to have more experience caring for children. I do have experience caring for children in educational settings but would like to further explore more individualized and meaningful support that accompanies a caregiving role. I am comfortable managing up to three kids at once. I have a car, I'll keep your space tidy, and I'm an excellent chef! My goal is to create a fun and safe environment where your child feels happy and comfortable. I'd be honored to bring joy and ease to your home while making sure your little ones are well cared for. We feel so lucky to have found Lucia on Care.com! From the moment she came to meet my two boys, they instantly gravitated toward her. Each of my boys is completely different—one is a fireball of energy who loves to stay active, and the other is a gentle soul who could spend hours doing arts and crafts. She managed to connect with both of them so naturally and beautifully balanced their very different personalities. She even stepped in last-minute over the weekend, and the boys had such a great time—they haven’t stopped talking about her since! It’s clear she’s not only capable but also kind, patient, and truly engaged. We’re really glad to have her support and look forward to continuing to work with her.
