Hello! My name is Lucia and I'm a 4th year chemical engineering student at UCSB. I grew up doing many forms of art and love to make art with kids and create a place for them to express themselves creatively! I also have a passion for what I study and math and science in general. I enjoy teaching kids at any level of math and science, especially about things they can see and do in their day-to-day lives. I can help with homework assignments too! I am fluent in Spanish and am completely comfortable speaking to kids in Spanish while I babysit. I am a naturally patient person, responsible, and diligent. While providing a gentle and comfortable space for kids, I also prioritize your boundaries and routines with your kids and do my best to blend in with your family's lifestyle.

Lucia has been an amazing babysitter for our family over the past two years, caring for our two children (now 5 years old and 1.5 years old) on an intermittent basis. She is warm, responsible, and incredibly engaging with the kids. She has taken our older child on fun outings and thoughtfully planned crafts and activities during school breaks, keeping her entertained and engaged. She’s also fantastic at involving both kids in creative activities like origami, which they love! In addition, Lucia has been great at preparing meals and snacks, always ensuring the children are well cared for. Beyond her caregiving skills, Lucia is trustworthy, reliable, and a wonderful role model. I highly recommend her to any family looking for a caring and dependable babysitter!
