About Lucia

I am originally from NY and have been living in SF since 1994. I am a proud mother of 5 children and 4 beautiful grandchildren. In 2014 I became a paid caretaker, leaving my full time bookkeeping job to care for my mother and father. Unfortunately, my father passed away in 2015 and I became responsible for my mother who became ill. She was diagnosed with dementia and had broken her hip. With the help of a PT CNA, my routine consisted of: transferring, bathing, and toileting my mother. Other daily tasks included food shopping, cooking, cleaning, medication administration, ordering and receiving all medical supplies, scheduling all MD appts. Accompanying mom to hospital visits, dental appts, screenings, vaccinations, ect. Personal hygiene was my job alone eg: cutting her nails, caring for her skin, and getting her to hair dresser. I treated her like a queen, but unfortunately, she passed away in October 2023.
