I am a Nurse in my country, El Salvador, and I have a lot of experience working as Babysitter-Nanny in this country. I love to play with kids, read books with them, teach and supervise them with their homework. Taking care of them is enjoyable for me because this job makes me feel satisfied. Taking care kids make me feel happy and younger! Just give me the opportunity with your loved ones and you will see it! Thank you!

When Lourdes came to work with our family we were an uncertain and shaky new family. Our first baby, a daughter, was born during the pandemic after an extremely stressful and isolated pregnancy. We knew how to love our baby but needed Lourdes’ confidence, deep expertise in child care and cheerful high energy to begin to relax and enjoy family life. Lourdes is one of a kind. She is mature and highly experienced, a former nurse in her country – but also playful, joyous and loving. We could see right away that Lourdes was a true professional, prompt, reliable and meticulous about safety, which was very reassuring to first time parents. But what we also learned was that Lourdes was inventive, highly verbal and fun loving. She frequently took initiative in terms of play activities throughout the day, so that our baby went to parks, playgrounds, child centered community activities and special events regularly. Other moms spontaneously approached me to say that they observed her in constant motion at playgrounds and the pool, and never on her phone. As our daughter grew the activities became more complex and ambitious, such as joint visits to farms as part of a playdate. Lourdes was a keen observer of our daughters developmental progress as well as her emerging personality. At the day’s end she routinely shared her impressions, concerns and offered guidance in a graceful, respectful manner. At all times I felt Lourdes and I were close collaborators and partners. She was an accurate and highly specific source of details about the baby’s well-being, never rushing out the door when I came home, carefully filling me in on the day’s events, positive and negative. I learned to trust her judgment and recommendations, whether this concerned the best choices for playdates, the suitability of daily routines, and the like. After our son was born seven months ago we had our hands full, but Lourdes managed caring for an infant and a three year old beautifully. Everyone still went to the park, the playground and virtually every community resource – the baby contented and safe, our preschooler racing around with other children under Lourdes’ watchful (but not nervous) eye. Lourdes has a keen feel for emerging temperaments and adjusted her style to meet the new baby’s more sensitive, less rambunctious interactions. New activities for our extremely active daughter continued to be introduced even as our often fretful baby needed soothing. Lourdes arrived every morning with a homemade breakfast for our preschooler, which we had not asked for but were delighted to see. At days’ end when we came home the kids’ laundry was done, there were no dishes in the sink, and the dog fed! It’s worth mentioning that our dog is not welcoming – but Lourdes won him over. She also takes terrific photos that have delighted us over the years. After three years we have had to part with Lourdes because our family circumstances have changed, but cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She is an absolute treasure, approaching her job with integrity, intelligence and love and any family would be very lucky to have her. She gave us the best possible start to family life and we will always be grateful.
