I am a retired Special Education Teacher. I have taught grades k-12. I have a duel Masters in Special Education and Reading. I am a mature woman of 3 adult children. I have been trained and have techniques to work well with most children. I am adept at working with children with learning disabilities and typical children as well. I also do college essays. I am proud to write , every student I have worked with on their college essays , have all gotten into the college of their choice. I am currently tutoring 2 first grade children with learning disabilities. I am happy to meet students at their home, although I have found that meeting at a library is best due to the lack of distractions. My strength is working on reading comprehension, vocabulary , grammar, and writing skills. I look forward to any questions or thoughts you may have.

I found Louise on Care.com . I was looking for an English Tutor for my 8th grade son, who has been struggling with Reading Comprehension & writing skills, When we asked to meet Louise in person we were very happy because she had references & many years of experience with students . My son took to her because she often teaches using different methods. She plays games with him .Louise comes 2x’s a week doing Vocabulary Building , Essay writing & Reading Comprehension Exercises. since Oct 2024 my husband & I are seeing improvement. The great thing is my son doesn’t mind having a tutor because she makes learning fun for him. If you are looking for a caring, proficient, creative English Tutor, I suggest Louise.
