About Louisa

I'm a 27-year-old female living in the heart of South Philly. I grew up in Vermont babysitting and caring for children ranging from infant to preteen, teaching piano to elementary school students, and creating/working at a day camp in my town. Since moving to Philly, I have worked in the restaurant industry while finishing my degree in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. I spent my years before moving to the city traveling around Europe and Central and South America, learning Spanish, and working various jobs ranging from cooking at hostels to teaching music and dance to young people. I bring these experiences into my work as a caregiver by providing individualized, empathic care to each child I work with. I believe that young people have so much to teach adults: about the importance of creativity, play, and curiosity. I care about creating space for children to explore, and learn about what it means to be human in a container that is safe, sustainable, and supportive.
