Since getting married in 1986, I have successfully raised 6 children as well as cared for my granddaughter full-time, while my daughter worked, until she began school in September 2018. I have been a nanny/house manager for the past year and am currently seeking a long-term position with a local family. When my children were young running a household entailed not only budgeting and meal preparations, keeping my home in order, coordinating multiple academic, extra curricular and social schedules and assisting with homework but also preparing my younger children for preschool and life by reading daily, learning numbers, shapes, colors, etc, visiting libraries, museums and parks and "exploring" local college campuses so as to spark their curiosity and interest in higher education. Lori was my house manager and nanny to my two wonderful children then ages 5 &7 - for approximately one year. She loves my children as if they were her one starting on day one. She helped my shy son come out of his shell and helped to tame my rambunctious daughter with her cool, calm, and loving ways. She kept the house clean and tidy, helped manage some light cooking for the kids, and made us all feel loved and cared for. When Lori left to peruse another opportunity it was hard to let her go. We truly felt like part of the family wasn't with us on a daily basis any more. We do keep in touch and she is still part of our family wherever she goes. Kind Regards, Julie
