Being very blessed that God has given me a special love for the elderly as well as individuals that struggle with disabilities makes being a sitter easy as well as fulfilling for me. I take it as an honor to be able to help someone in need especially someone who has lived a long life. I am very adamant in the respect that people deserve. My client is always my number one priority. I always treat clients the way I would want my family to be treated. I talk a lot about treatment because there seems to be some confusion that a person of a certain age or with issues can't hear, see or doesn't need to be addressed in a respectful manner. I see so much of taking care of basic needs being the fulfillment of the caregiver. Basic needs are very important however being a companion & treating a person with the respect that they deserve is also very important. I always arrive as a stranger but normally leave in tears because my clients become like family. I have been a caregiver for several years.
