Greetings! My name is Lorena and for the past 5+ years, I have been working in childcare services around Chicago & it's surrounding suburbs. This has ranged from working in early childhood development organizations as well as working independently for families of various communities and cultures. As a Chicago native, I have had an affinity for children at an early age. I loved babysitting my nieces and nephews, especially during the summer days doing various activities. I enjoy being a nanny; seeing the children I interact with as my own, it is the most rewarding and fulfilling job for me. Children are a blessing, as they bring joy & hope in my life & are a constant reminder of patience. I consider myself to be a hard working, fast learning and self reliant individual & am not afraid to take on new challenges, while being open to learning new skills. To conclude as a sidenote: I am Covid-19 vaccinated, have a valid DL and my own means of transportation.

I consider Lorena to be a super nanny! She was our nanny as we endured many transitions. We were in the process of a move, and also my son (8 months at the time) was going to transition to daycare. I interviewed many incredible individuals for the short term role...around two months in duration. Lorena seemed to be the best fit on interview, and she far surpassed my expectations! First, she was great about exploring my goals as a parent, and for my son. I wished to help my son learn to play independently in combination with giving him love and attention, and given her background in daycares, she did exactly that! I also wanted to create a functional home for a baby when we moved. Lorena is very organized and took it upon herself, to suggest and implement different methods to help my day run smoother as a parent. Additionally, she is incredibly creative! She comes up with the most fun games for my infant, and I love hearing him laugh when they are playing together. She's done puppet shows for him, baby yoga, animated story time, and helped him pay particular attention to different textures and sensory details during playtime. She has a lot of her own playtime toys as well, and has brought them to share with my son, including a cute baby tent! She is also communicative and responsive to collaboration which in my mind is key to a good working relationship. Lastly, she keeps everything in the space very clean, which was really important to me. She would display his books and toys beautifully at the end of the day, and I admired it like artwork! I will definitely continue to use her services for babysitting jobs in the future. I feel grateful to have met her!
