About Lorena

I am a UCLA grad passionate about helping others and mentoring younger students. Inspired by the mentors that have helps guide me in my own career path, I enjoy helping student discover their interests and potential. I have two years of experience working with kindergarten and elementary school students as a tutor and role model in a big sister/lil sister program. However, I also have four years working with middle school and high school students as a mentor and student athletic trainer. As a pre-medical student I enjoy teaching the sciences, but am also comfortable teaching other subjects! Additionally, I have been a human anatomy and physiology tutor at WashU for the past three years, helping students find learning strategies that work for them! These experiences have helped me become a better teacher and taught me how to adjust to each student's different learning styles. I am excited to help students overcome their challenges.
