I've had 20+ years of experience and I've learned that caregiving is truly a calling. I've learned you have to be trustworthy, compassionate and patient. You can't learn those skills overnight it's embedded into who you are as an individual. I also don't call the seniors I take care of my "client" or "patient" I look at them as part of my family. I think that's why I'm so passionate about what I do. I'm able to care for them as best as I could as if they were my own family.
