About Lola

I've been a reading/writing tutor for over four years for elementary, middle, high-school, and college students. At UCLA, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, I was one of only two sophomore hires for our Undergraduate Writing Center. I worked there as a writing tutor for over three years, receiving training from some of UCLA's best teachers. I have experience tutoring any writing related material, from economics/history/philosophy papers, to research proposals, to creative writing, and even resumes. The students I've worked with on college applications and personal statements received acceptances to top schools, such as Cornell University, UCLA, USC. I've developed an approach of truly meeting the student where they are, showing them their unique strengths, and inspiring both curiosity and confidence in their own process. In addition to my experience as a personal tutor, I've also worked as babysitter and camp counselor.
