Nikie was the first caregiver I ever hired and the last to leave me after my mother's passing. She has the art of being able to balance being a friend and a member of staff. She cared for my mother like she was her own. I had only recently moved to the area when I needed to hire a caregiver, meaning Nikie started work in a household that was mostly still in boxes. Not only did she keep my house as close to spotless as is humanly possible, she unpacked most of my kitchen and get it functional, she helped organize the remainder of the house and assemble newly acquired furniture, which was definitely not in the scope of her duties. At all times, my mother's comfort and well-being were her number one priority. By the end, my mother would ask if Miss Nikie were coming that day as she looked forward to seeing her.
