Working with children is my passion. Most of my happiest moments include children. I have enjoyed working as a nanny for seven families. This includes newborns, infants, toddler twins and premature twins! I have also worked as an Art teacher for children who have Autism. I have experience working in a preschool and as a kindergarten teacher's aide. As a nanny, I provide creative activities such as games, stories, music and art projects. I encourage reading. I communicate well with children. I am intuitive and empathetic. I am reliable, flexible, adaptable and responsible. I am honest and trustworthy. I respect family values and take suggestions well. I love to paint and play the drums. I love animals. I absolutely adore children. I am looking for a position in the Los Angeles / San Fernando valley area; live in or out. I am willing to relocate. I have a resume, recommendations and I have the results from live scan background check available.

Lisa has been taking care of our 15-month-old girl since March, and is such a wonderful addition to our family! She made instant friends with our daughter and came prepared Day 1 with arts and crafts projects and her own bag of toys, which has already accelerated our daughter's development of her gross and fine motor skills, language, comprehension and problem solving - not to mention just being fun! She never uses TV or electronic devices to "fill time" and is always very engaged one-on-one with our daughter throughout the day. She is responsible, independent, trustworthy, honest, dependable, flexible, thoughtful, kind, respectful of our routines and preferences, and goes the extra mile to make our home a haven. And while we have learned some helpful tricks from her on feedings/meal times, sleep routines and childhood learning (this is our first child and we are green!), she has always been respectful of our parenting style and choices and only volunteers ideas or suggestions when asked. Her dog, Skip, accompanies her every time she works, but he is well-mannered and sweet, and stays in his "man cave" most of the time. Even though we really don't mind him coming out for some time during the day, she is very conscious of not imposing on our household (we also have two cats). She is way more than a nanny and it is clear she loves taking care of children and helping create a peaceful home life. The only downside is that we can't afford to hire her full-time, so she is looking for an extra day or two per week to bridge the gap. If you have that kind of need, please consider hiring her! Not only will you not regret it, you will thank your lucky stars that your kids get the benefit of her care!!
