About Lisa

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, friendly, and upbeat. I like caring for seniors because I enjoy their company. It is very fulfilling to care for someone's loved one and be able to provide the necessary care, and maybe a laugh or two during the process. I'm looking for a job that allows me to use some of my geriatric skills and experience while connecting with people on an individual basis, as opposed to working in an environment with many patients. I started caring for seniors as a nurse almost 20 years ago and found that that was my calling. I have worked in hospital, nursing homes, home health and assisted living. In my spare time, I read, write, play with our pets and putter in the yard when it is not sweltering. One thing you should know about me is I have a quirky sense of humor My skills include using proven dementia, intervention techniques, vital sign and health monitoring and helping families cope with the changes their loved ones are experiencing.
