About Lisa

I'd describe my personality as bright, outgoing, and welcoming. I like tutoring because I like helping children feel confident with their academic goals. I enjoy finding the best way to teach each individual in the way that suits them. I'm looking for a job that is permanent with a family who values their children's education. I started tutoring when I was in college to become a classroom teacher. In my spare time, I like to do many things. I like gardening, music, art, bike riding, reading, visiting with friends and new friends. One thing you should know about me is I focus on the positive. When problems arise, my positive outlook will always find the silver. My skills include connecting with my students, assessing their academic strengths and weaknesses, preparing effective and engaging activities and lessons to meet learning needs.
