I'm a fun loving, personable, and organized individual with a passion for working with children. I am easy to get along with, I'm honest and flexible with my time. I have learned so much about the importance of effectively guiding the physical and emotional growth of children during their development. I personally believe in teaching children how to think rather than what to think, so I'd rather not push my own ideas onto a child. Instead, I prefer to probe children with questions so that they find answers on their own. I am very energetic and have no problem keeping up with the playfulness of young children. I am always willing to get down on my hands and knees during play time, read stories with enthusiastic and animated voices. I am unafraid of all things sticky and slimy. I love researching new ideas and methods of making learning fun and often create games and activities, arts and crafts and small projects. My experience comes from being a nanny for the past 10 years. During this time, I cared for children of various ages from newborns to toddlers and school age kids. As a nanny, I would prepare snacks, meals, play dates, take them to classes, museums, parks, movies. I was also responsible for minor household duties such as cleaning up after the kids, their laundry, bath, dinner. I've also stayed alone with the kids while the parents went away for the weekend.
