About Lisa

I took care of my mother, in our family home, for 14 years before her passing. Her confusion and dementia became increasingly more severe through the years. Now that I am retired from my career but am still young enough to be in excellent personal health, I would like to be there for another family to give back what my mother's caregivers once gave to me. I am a teacher by trade. I took a brief hiatus from teaching to enroll at Atlanta Medical Center in their radiology technician program and to work as a unit secretary inputting physicians orders in a busy wing of our local hospital. Ultimately, I returned to teaching which was always my calling but I am accustomed to managing medications and to advocating on behalf of the elderly as needed. Sometimes, unfortunately, it takes a lot to ensure their needs are recognized and adequately addressed.
