Hi there! I'm a mama of two wonderful boys, ages 3 and 5, and I am offering part-time or occasional babysitting in our home in Crystal Lake. As a family, we love spending time outdoors, and we prioritize a screen-free environment outside of our Friday night family movie night. Our days are filled with reading, free play, arts and crafts, and plenty of outdoor activities. For over two years, I provided childcare for a toddler until his mom decided to stay home full-time with her family. I'd be happy to provide a reference if needed! We're a bit of a "crunchy" family, focusing on low-toxic living and lots of time outdoors. Our townhome is smoke-free and pet-free, and we enjoy walks and visits to the local parks. To call Lisa a caregiver feels inappropriate. She’s far more beyond just a caregiver. The amount of love and grace she showed my son on a regular basis was more like an extension of our family than hired help. Lisa was receptive and kind to any and all requests I ever had, she provided my son with thoughtful and imaginative activities on a regular basis, and truly made the process as easy as it could be for our family as a whole. My only complaint is that we’re no longer able to use her as I eventually left my job to stay home with the kids about a year after having our second. Consider yourself blessed if you get to have Lisa care for your child, she’s the epitome of what all caregivers should strive to be.
