In addition to providing essential care, support and companionship, I go above and beyond, working to anticipate my clients' needs. I look for ways to make their lives easier, safer, more organized, more enjoyable. I also seek to be a voice and advocate for my clients, especially with regard to their medical care. My favorite part of being a caregiver is getting to know my clients. Building trust and rapport are an essential component of caregiving, but what could be more rewarding than discovering how to elicit a smile or a laugh? (They do say it's the best medicine, after all!)

First, Lisa impressed me right off the bat by the way she communicated. She took the time to carefully read the job description and address why the position would be an excellent fit. Then, when my father was in the ICU, she responded flexibly to our changing needs, were evolved every day. Then, when my family was overwhelmed by decisions and problem solving, she showed up and completely organized my father's home, scrubbing the bathroom when she noticed it was needed, and purging unneeded items. She is completely unfazed by any task, and jumps in right away and rolls up her sleeves. She also has advice and anticipates issues that will come up based on her experience. She is kind, hard working, capable, and compassionate. She is an absolute godsend and I recommend her without reservation.
