About Lisa

I am a first-grade teacher in the Newport Mesa Unified School District with over 17 years of experience in early childhood education. Holding a master's degree in Early Childhood Education, I am dedicated to creating a nurturing & stimulating learning environment. Recently completing the Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS) certification, I have advanced knowledge in the science of reading. This enables me to implement strategies to support each child in becoming proficient readers & writers. Throughout my career, my goal has been to help students achieve their personal goals. I cultivate a classroom where students feel confident & excited about learning, using diverse instructional strategies tailored to each learning style to engage them and foster a passion for discovery. I am passionate about inspiring and empowering my students to reach their fullest potential.
