I returned back to school ( also have a Bachelor of Science degree from a 4 year college.) I have had 4. 5 years of experience in a variety of settings including Home Health. My passion is working with the geriatric population. I am compassionate, have good active living skills, good rapport building to to promote increased understanding in their interests/ hobbies, dislikes, strengths and deficits, motivation level, etc.. I have worked in a memory care unit (dementia/Alzheimer's) care. I am trained in skilled therapy working on dressing tasks, toileting, showering/bathing, hygiene/ grooming, safe functional transfers, seated and standing balance, strengthening upper extremities, education in energy conservation techniques, breathing techniques, and compensatory strategies to reduce the risk of falls. My goal is to assist the patient safely, build trust and provide the best quality of care to allow for the patient to live their best quality of life.
