Having an independent 95-year-old mom and an impatient 93-year-old dad has helped me experience the challenges family members face while trying to arrange responsible care. My past experience is working with folks with stroke victims, dementia, Parkinson's disease and MS. I have 5 years of paid experience providing personalized and compassionate non medical home care so that clients can "age in place" and live their best lives. If necessary, I can provide part time live in help as well. I offer companionship, a sense of humor, attention to detail, light personal care, transportation, med reminders and mobility assistance, cooking and light housekeeping. Hospice companion care is also a service that I offer. Let me help you remain relevant and involved in your life instead of sitting in the recliner watching life out the window. My preference is working together with the client's family so we can make their care plan a success!

Lisa was a companion care-giver for my husband and came two afternoons a week for about a year. My husband had Parkinson's and was wheelchair/electric scooter bound. Lisa was present 100% while she was here. She would bring games and puzzles to see if my husband was interested. He loved jokes and sometimes she brought books of jokes. In good weather they would go outside. He liked to do gardening and she would stay with him for safety's sake and to help out. She would give him his lunch either inside or outside. Sometimes we would take him to a doctor. We had a van with a lift and Lisa would get him in the van in his wheelchair and then assist with the clips that fastened the chair to the van. On arrival she would pilot him to where ever we had to go and then help get him on the examining table if necessary. She never hesitated. Lisa was always pleasant, chatty, resourceful and calm. The person she was caring for was number one. We had an excellent relationship. She was probably the best care-giver we had and we had many.
