I'd describe my personality as compassionate, dependable and having a positive attitude. I like caring for seniors because it brings me joy in helping those who are unable, helping to preserve their dignity. I'm looking for a job that provides clear expectations of duties, good communication, a positive work environment, and salary commensurate with my experience. I started caring for seniors when I moved next door to an elderly widowed woman who had dementia. For 15 yrs., I cared for an elderly man with Parkinson's. For the past 3 yrs. I cared for 2 elderly women, one bedridden w/dementia and the other with Parkinson's. In my spare time, I like to spend time with family, crochet and cook. One thing you should know about me is that I am flexible, accommodating, dependable and maintain a level of integrity in my care. My skills include: patience, understanding, an attention to detail, an understanding of medication administration/healthcare protocols, and time management.
