About Lisa

I've always loved to read, and I would like to share that love with a child that needs help with reading, and other academic subjects which require good reading skills. I obtained a Texas teaching certificate in 1999. After working as a substitute teacher in the inner city and teaching in a private school, I married and turned my attention to caring for my father and in-laws during their final years, and raising my daughter. I read to my baby starting at six months of age every day until her second grade year. During those years, one can count the number of nights I missed reading to her on the fingers of one hand. My daughter's verbal and reading scores have always been in the highest percentile. Her verbal scores enabled her to become a Davidson Young Scholar. She is currently enrolled at university studying Mechanical Engineering. I am familiar with adhd, as my daughter is 2e. My schedule is flexible.
