Hi y'all, My name is Lisa from Santa Cruz I have over 10 years of experience working with kids from infancy to toddlerhood and teens. I'm a patient , kind and fun loving person. I'm the mother of an amazing 23-year-old who graduated from college a year ago and I found myself with an empty nest. As a result I'm back to working with little ones like I did for most of my youth and also as a young mom. I have done one on one care all the way up to running an in home daycare in my 20's. I can do school drop off and pick up, small errands and meal preparation. I find a deep sense of joy in working with children. I enjoy being a part of the community and spending my time outdoors hiking, swimming, reading and crocheting. I love all ages and stages of development. I look forward to working with you and your family. I think with open communication between you and I and flexibility most things in life can be navigated through in a positive way.

Dear Prospective Family, Amongst the overwhelming response we got from nanny’s applying to our advertisement, Lisa stood out. From our first call, I could tell this was the woman I wanted caring for my babies. She was patient, kind and had a great sense of humor. Before signing the nanny contract, Lisa spent several sessions getting to know my girls, our house and watching me interact with them thru temper tantrums and fussy meal times. My girls are 11months and 3.5yrs. My husband and I are both Firefighters and our jobs take us away for long periods of time. By the time Lisa came into our lives, both girls were suspicious of any adult showing up at the house because it meant mom and dad were going to leave. Lisa seamlessly calmed these fears by playing games, doing puzzles, and having an overall grounding presence. Most of our nanny needs were 6am-11am during my husbands and I shift change. Lisa helped the girls wake up, changed diapers, dressed them, prepared and fed breakfast, packed school lunch and drove them to preschool. Lisa would put H. down for nap afterwards. Arguably one of the hardest parts of the day, Lisa never failed us. She was on time every time and often early to help move car seats from one vehicle into hers. On days when I needed extra time at home to clean up or take care of something, Lisa was accommodating and stayed extended hours. She would load the girls up, back a diaper bag with snacks and head to the park or museum. Lisa is no longer our nanny due to a family emergency that occurred and our financial commitments drastically changed. Giving Lisa four weeks notice was like breaking up with a best friend. Lisa brought peace of mind and stability to our household.
