Two years of Senior Care Giving include: dementia, Alzheimer's, Huntington's and blindness. We walked, danced, joked & laughed. Sometimes there was aggression, embarrassing and sad times. I helped with relocation to assisted living & with end-of-life. It has been heart-warming & fulfilling to contribute to their journeys, so I want to continue with geriatric care giving. My path: preschool leader, camp counselor, teacher/coach of girls' High School PE, nanny for four families, and mother. So, senior care giving is a natural progression of my journey. There is great joy in bringing security, safety & some happiness to those who are losing so much. Other skills: special events, catering, healthy nutrition/cooking, exercise and massage. I am respectful, sensitive, responsive & safety-consciousness. At UCLA, I acheived two majors, Kinesiology/Education, & two minors, Pshcyology/Humanities. My Master's Thesis: "Structural & Neuromuscular Mechanisms of Flexibility: an EMG Study"

Fully engaged our step-mother who had severe alzheimers, including indoor and outdoor activities, music and personal companionship. Planned activities and managed time well. She cares about those she is caring for, and works to blend in with the family while providing much needed care and personal attention to those in need. Very positive and supportive attitude in often difficult situations with dementia patients.
