About Lindsay

I'd describe my personality as friendly, encouraging, and compassionate. I like tutoring because I love to help students reach their goals and give them opportunities to approach subjects from a different angle. I'm looking for a job that allows me to help students reach their goals, especially in reading and writing. I started tutoring in 2021, and have been tutoring ever since. Before tutoring I was a full-time elementary school teacher. I left my full-time position to be home with my small children. Tutoring has allowed me to do both things I love. In my spare time, I like to read, write, and cook. One thing you should know about me is I believe learning is made up of both work and play. There is a time to work hard and a time to learn how to enjoy the process. I always like to incorporate both aspects in my tutoring. My skills include being knowledgeable about the subject matter, motivating students and celebrating their accomplishments, staying organized and efficient.
