I am a teacher with dual certification in special education and biology. My father had a stroke on resulting in his right side being paralyzed and a need for PT, OT, and speech ad still suffers from TIAs. I have helped him with his needs including transportation, feeding, washing/clothing, and some lifting/support while he moves from his chair to bed. I also work as a part time one-on-one for a high school student with special needs and help her with homework and building independent skills while we balance learning and outdoor adventures. I cared for my mother with ALS the last year of her life so have experience in bathing, dressing, assisted lifts, etc. I am patient, kind, and have a great sense of humor.
