I have always enjoyed being around the elderly. I enjoy their conversation and company as well. I believe if you listen to their stories of their lives in the time or manner in which they were brought up, you will gain some insight on how to engage with them more productively. I have been taking care of the elderly for 20 plus years with my first patient/client being on hospice. I have worked with most of my elderly clients till the end of life and even then, cared for them with respect and dignity. Through my clients I have made lifelong friendships. I have cared for those with dementia, Parkersons and Alzheimer's along with Lewy Body disease. For the last 9 years I cared for two separate young adults with Cerebral Palsy that were total care. I am CPR/First Aid and AED certified. I have professional and personal references upon request.
